In general, my family is very busy and going in all different directions all the time! But we are having a whopper of a year. So far we have been in Oregon, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. And that was just through May! We are about to head out again and go through Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona! Then this fall I will be going down the Eastern seaboard from New Jersey to Florida once again. Why so much travel you ask? Well, first out oldest daughter graduated early from college and after coming home for Christmas she got her first job in Florida. She is rides & trains hunter/jumper horses and teaches lessons. That was the first trip - driving her car from college in New Jersey to Wellington Florida. Then came spring break where we took our youngest daughter to Portland Oregon and then on to Seaside to touch the Pacific Ocean and look around the area because we are about to move over there. In May we went back to New Jersey for Sydney's official graduation ceremony and decided to take some time visiting the 6 New England states while we were over there. Which gave Audrey her chance to touch the Atlantic Ocean and see the "other" Portland within a span of two months.
We are now headed out to take Audrey to college. She is transferring to Belmont University for her sophomore year (and beyond) which is where she has wanted to go for many years now! Thus taking us through the middle of the United States and then to get back home to Washington we'll go through the Southwest and see the Grand Canyon which I've been wanting to see forever!
Whew! I'm kind of overwhelmed at just recapping all of that - and I'm not done! In the middle of all of this travel we are also selling our house and moving. My husband, Craig, was transferred and we have been doing home improvement projects for several months now to finish all the stuff we started and have the house ready. If all goes well maybe it'll sell while we're on our trip and everyone is out of the house - thus clean!
